Vacation 2014, Jekyll Island, GA

We arrived at Jekyll Island and settled in to our campsite at the only campground on the island located on the northern tip of the island. Jekyll Island campground is a private campground with good facilities near the islands pier and close to the lovely bike trails that circle the island. We have found during our stays here that biking is a real thrill with trails that meander through the salt water marshes, sea shore and wooded inland areas. The island is known for the beautiful natural beaches and historical background as a place for the rich and famous at the turn of the last century. Jekyll Island is a treat to visit with it's beauty and natural setting on a unspoiled barrier island maintained in it's natural state to keep it's essence alive.
